Stanley Kubrick Exhibit
Stanley Kubrick is considered to be one of the most game-changing moviemakers in history. He made just 16 films, but his fearless vision and unexpected techniques forged a cinematographic path that’s still emulated by directors today. We visited the newly opened Kubrick exhibition at Tiff Bell Lightbox yesterday. Here are 10 fun reasons to check it out:
1. Hal-9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. War room model from Dr. Strangelove
3. Costumes from Spartacus
4. Helmet from Full Metal Jacket
5. Korova Milk Bar props from A Clockwork Orange
6. Production design maze from The Shining
7. Movie posters and renderings by Saul Bass
8. Custom Zeiss lenses created for Barry Lyndon
9. Masks from Eyes Wide Shut
10. Personal notebooks, screenplays and scrapbooks
The exhibit runs through January 25. A series of special guests will introduce screenings of Kubrick's films throughout the exhibition.
