Columbus Record Store Day
Today marked the fifth anniversary of Record Store Day. Every third Saturday in April, hundreds of independent record stores throughout the world unite to remind us that nothing sounds (or smells) better than fresh (or used) vinyl. More than 250 special releases were issued in honor of the occasion. Kevin and I visited two Columbus record stores celebrating their first Record Store Days: Spoonful Records, which opened downtown last July, and Dreadful Sounds, which opened in Clintonville last June. Then we promptly went home and blared our new purchases, because that’s how we roll spin.
